hmmm...

is it truly possible for someone to REALLY know your name?

i thought about this as i was getting food with Mr. Jon Black.

He asked my middle name- i replied with my normal response:

i dont tell people my middle name.


he didnt like that.


but it got me thinking:

can you TRULY ever know someones name?

meaning, if i say "do you konw Josh?", a TORRENT of information and emotion come rushing into your head without you even realizing it, and with that simple word, conotations pop up all over your cerebral cortex.

you think of the Josh down the street,

or the josh in high school who was a stoner, and hung out by the bleachers,

or the Josh that your dad knows from Work,

or the Josh you saw on T.V.

or the Josh that peed in your hair in Elementary School.

each one of those people carry a different idea behind them. each name triggers a response, and the name of an individual gives you an idea of what you are dealing with.

the name is PACKED full of information and sway.


but can you ever REALLY know that name?
