its always hard for me to sit and listen to people make gross exagerations about the bible that are completely false.

Teacher: How much does Christ love the church?
Student: (yelling) He Died For it!
Teacher: Yes- we see that written all over the bible, "Jesus Died fr the church"... its everywhere.

1. this phrase is actually NOT found ANYWHERE in teh bible, just FYI.
2. this is actually at some point of discussion- was the church, the way it is, something God desired when He died?
Hanz Kuhn, a catholic philosopher, said once:
"Christ came to esteblish a kingdom,
and all we gave Him was a church."
interesting to think about... im not sure how i feel about teaching our youth that the Church is something to hold on to.
for some reason i feel like that is just such a small world view.
what do you think?

I would tend to agree!
The church as a BODY, is one thing. But the church as an orginazation is a scary prospect. There are entirely too many "churches" preaching quite the opposite of what's written in the Scriptures.
SO not cool.
